There are 1,120 appeals from decisions on development permits pending before the Planning Appeals Board, the Prime Minister has revealed in Parliament.

These include 110 cases which have been put off indefinitely, 167 which have been put off for sentence, 20 which still have to be appointed, 826 which are being heard and 17 where the board is awaiting written submissions before giving sentence.
