Maureen Camilleri Barun was the winner of the photo competition as part of the ‘No Exclusions’ project, co-ordinated by Malta-EU Steering and Action Committee (MEUSAC).

Her photograph generated the largest number of likes on the ‘No Exclusions’ Facebook page. It was chosen from more than 100 submissions that were also exhibited in a mosaic of photos in Republic Street last June.

The Jury award went to Mark Warner’s photo which reflected the theme chosen for 2010, being the European Year for the Combating of Poverty and Social Exclusion. The winners were each awarded a cash prize of €200 by MEUSAC head Vanni Xuereb.

The project aimed to raise awareness about social inclusion among the Maltese and European society.

‘No Exclusions’ was co-ordinated by MEUSAC as part of the Management Partnership Agreement with the European Commission.
