My husband and I attended a truly superb concert by the European Union Youth Orchestra on August 8 in the Pjazza Teatru Rjal. Well done to the inspiring conductor and his wonderfully talented and well disciplined young musicians.

It was, however, most disconcerting to arrive at 8.35pm, in what we thought was very good time, to find ourselves hustled to our seats because the concert was about to begin. Our tickets gave the time of the concert as 9pm. People around us murmured that latecomers (us) should have made an earlier start. I was mystified to see that their tickets showed that the concert was scheduled for 8.30pm.

We left home at 8pm for a concert due to start at 9pm. The programme that I still have from the Arts Festival in July has the concert down at 9pm. The time was changed, we were not informed, and people like us, who booked very early, were misled into thinking that the concert started at 9pm whereas people who booked later were given the amended time of 8.30pm.

Shame on the organisers.
