The National Commission for Persons with Disability yesterday filed a judicial protest against the Malta Football Association for failing to provide adequate access to the enclosure side of the national stadium.

The KNPD said it had received a number of complaints about the lack of accessibility for people with a disability, adding that the MFA failed to take action to improve the situation.

While the KNPD acknowledged that the Millennium stand was fully accessible, it was hardly ever opened during premier league matches and the older part of the stadium, the enclosure side, was used to host both sets of supports and VIPs during matches.

It gave the MFA seven days to regulate its position and provide a time frame of when the necessary changes would be made.
