Labour MEP candidate Charlon Gouder said he would not be intimidated from exposing irregularities that happened under the Nationalist government – including the scandal of tampered smart meters.

Former finance minister Tonio Fenech filed a libel suit against Mr Gouder who wrote in l-Orizzont that Mr Fenech knew the smart meters had been tampered with and did nothing about it.

Mr Gouder said filing libel suits against members of the Labour Party was nothing but a tactic used by the Nationalist Party – something he was used to especially after working as a journalist.
