Self-employed people were expected to benefit from €70 million in European Regional Development Funds in the seven-year programming period between 2014 and 2020, European Affairs Minister Louis Grech said in Parliament.

Answering questions by Opposition MP Robert Arrigo, he said the funds were available in such sectors as enterprise competitiveness, energy, informatics, employment, education and training.
