Four service providers, members of the TAP Knowledge Alliance, TAP-K, recently presented a €2,000 donation to Dar tal-Providenza in Siġġiewi.

The donation was pledged during last year’s month-long exhibition Floating Bronze by Austrian sculptor Hubert Flörl, at the National Museum of Fine Arts, which had been organised by TAP-K under the patronage of Austrian Ambassador Petra Schneebauer.

The presentation was made to Fr Martin Micallef, director of Dar tal-Providenza, by Dr Schneebauer together with FFFL managing partner Tonio Fenech, who represented the TAP-K members who had started the initiative.

The members are lawyers at FFFL, accountants at Capstone Group, corporate finance specialists at RG Capital Advisors and trust and fiduciary consultants at ATCL.

In a brief comment during the presentation, Dr Fenech said: “We are delighted that Tap-K hosted Flörl’s exhibition, as it offered the Maltese the opportunity to appreciate the art of this talented Austrian artist. However, it is important to note the substantial help given to this initiative by Ambassador Schneebauer and the staff at the Austrian Embassy.”

Fr Micallef thanked the TAP-K members for their donation, saying that Dar tal-Providenza provided an essential service in the community and such a donation was important to be able to continue providing services that respected the dignity of the residents.

Flörl has lived and worked in Tirol and Vienna as a freelance artist since 1987.

Following the exhibition, the artist donated one of his works, entitled Holy Trinity Cross, to the National Museum of Fine Arts.
