Iveco official in Malta

Gianfranco Arno, area manager for Iveco, locally represented by UCIM Co., was in Malta to analyse the local commercial community's transportation realities and requirements.

Over the last 30 years, Iveco has developed a wide product range featuring light, medium and heavy commercial vehicles, off-road trucks, city and intercity buses and coaches as well as special vehicles for applications such as fire fighting, off-road missions, defence and civil protection.

Iveco is currently investing in the research and development of new vehicles with low CO2 emissions. The launch of 10 diesel-electric hybrid Daily vans to conduct extended evaluation by Fed Ex Express, the world's largest express air delivery company, in Milan and Turin, was part of this exercise.

The new configuration on the vans will serve to reduce annual diesel fuel consumption by about 6,000 litres with a consequent reduction in CO2 emissions of about 15 tons compared to conventional powertrains.
