The following are the top stories in the Maltese newspapers today.

The Sunday Times of Malta reports that most government MPs still want Konrad Mizzi to go. The newspaper also reports that the new gas power station is to miss another deadline. 

Il-Mument quotes Simon Busuttil saying government scandals are a slap in the face for workers as they scare away investment. It also reports tat the 'reshuffle' has shown Dr Muscat to ba a hostage in Castille and, in a thrid story is says agents from North Korea are in Malta to take thousands of euro to their country.

The Malta Independent says a land based gas storage for the power station in Delimara would have cost $500m/€1b. 

It-Torca says the secretary of Floriana FC has denied having taken a picture of minister Konrad Mizzi or corresponded with blogger Daphne Caruana Galizia during a football match. It also says a big crowd is expected for today's Labour May Day demo.

Illum quotes minister Chris Cardona saying he had not previously stood for the PL deputy leader election because he had proposed Konrad Mizzi.

MaltaToday says Joseph Muscat is considering co-opting Toni Abela to parliament to take Leo Brincat's seat. It also reports that the President is calling on the parties to tone down the political heat.

KullHadd says a social housing project in Gozo was not carried out because former minister Chris Said wanted to please some supporters. It also quotes Joseph Muscat saying today's May Day events will be a celebration of Labour's achievements.
