The Mexican Navy sail training ship Cuauhtémoc was given a salute from vintage guns at the Upper Barrakka when it sailed into Grand Harbour this morning.

The ship has a brick-barca rig with three masts and 23 sails out of which 10 are square sails on the mainmast and foremast and 13 are staysails, with a sail area of 2,368 square meters.

The ship will be open to the public today up to 5pm, and tomorrow, Sunday and Monday between 10am and 8pm. at Valletta Waterfront.
