An online service “MyActs” was launched by Justice Minister Owen Bonnici this morning.

The service is accessible on justice.gov.mt/onlineservices through one’s e-ID.

It will enable users to see the judicial acts filed in their name and follow their progress. There will also be other information about the case.

Civil Courts and Tribunals Directorate director Emanuel Sciriha said one would not be able to see acts filed against themselves so as to prevent people avoiding the notification process.

Dr Bonnici said this was only one in a series of initiatives aimed at improving the administration of justice and making the process more efficient.

He said that though other initiatives which have already been launched, the number of civil cases decided superseded the number of cases filed.

Tony Sultana from Malta’s Information Technology Agency, said the e-ID service will be simplified but remain secure by the first quarter next year.
