Parliamentary Secretary Jose Herrera is not sure if he hit a car when reversing out of a parking space, but said that if he did, the impact was minimal.

Nationalist Party media reported earlier this week that Dr Herrera was involved in a hit and run incident in Hamrun.

Dr Herrera, however, this morning dismissed the reports, saying he had no knowledge of any driving incident, and would not drive away from any accident.

He said no police report had been filed. He explained that he was looking for parking in Hamrun on his way to meet constituents and reversed into a space, which turned out to be too tight.

He said he then drove home, arriving “early for once”, and denied that his drive home was erratic.
