The Home Affairs Minister should either resign or be removed immediately, Alternattiva Demokratika said.
In areaction to an incident yesterday in which his driver fired three shots at another car, deputy chairman Carmel Cacopardo said the minister should shoulder his political responsibilities as he wasultimately responsible for the actions of his staff.
"It is simply unacceptable for the police minister's handpicked staff to shoot at people.
"A serious Prime Minister should have demanded the immediate resignation of such a minister.
"Anything less will mean that it is acceptable for ministers' drivers and staff to see themselves above everyone else and untouchable," Mr Cacopardo said.
