Fourth animal found nailed to cross in Mosta
A second cat has been found crucified and hanging upside down in Mosta, the fourth such incident involving animals since October.
The cat was found nailed to a wooden cross on a door in Baskal Buhagiar Street just before 7 a.m. yesterday.
Another cat was found crucified on January 17. It was left on the gate of a chapel in San Anton Abbati Street.
A priest had found a dead dog nailed to a wooden cross, hanging upside down on Main Street on October 16. A month later, a Chihuahua cross-breed was found crucified in the same manner on the gates of the Sacred Heart oratory.
Next to the carcasses of the dogs was a note in which the perpetrator said the suffering s/he had gone through was worse than that of the dog.

Yes John Smith, these crucified cats all fell of the besom were they were riding pillion behind Mummy Witch, she of the tall pointy black Welsh hat and a hooked nose right down to her shrivelled cleavage with a mole the size of a marble tickling her right dry as a desert date nipple. The witch is now advertising for a replacement cat. Meanwhile, discarded cats that fall over Mosta for some miraculous reason - like unexploded bombs, for instance? - and they are being found by a mysterious Mosti who is taking them out of their misery.
John, god created the devil because, without a competitor, there would be nothing to compare god's goodness with. So his goodness would either go unnoticed, or be reduced to a much diluted form. I see it differently though. God banished the devil/Lucifer because he, the devil, was proud. What?! And god, wanting to exist forever surrounded by zillions of fawning souls (earthly?)head over (earthly?)heels in love with him, and adoring him - in my book that is some pride. You citing the Egyptian mummy, be it a Pharaoh or a furry puss is interesting. You see in the Egyptian world, both were relegated to a starry heaven. Indeed they were deified. For man's folly knows no bounds.

The National Cat Society condemns these murders. Leave the cats alone and we urge any one to report to the Police if they have even a blurred clue about these horrible incidents. We urge the police to ask cat lovers ( investigate ) who miss a cat and identify it. These investigations may lead to the culpit. You know if the cat was captured alive some blood of the offender may have spilled on the cross or fur of the cat and a DNA result can be obtained.
By the way Cats are far from being evil They help many to avert depression directly or indirectly.

Has any one been in touch with the cats in the area to find out what they think is going on?

Cats are by some considered to be from the devil, associates of witches and they lurk in the night when all of gods creatures are asleep. that might be the reason this person is killing cats. maybe instead of looking for an "evil" lunatic, we should be turning our attention to religious fanatics. read more in:
http://christwire.org where this text is quoted from..
"We all know the story: they spread rabies, are involved in witch ceremonies and they even were worshipped as gods by Egyptians.
Cats have a history of being corrupt and it is a sad shame that they are not extinct. If I had the power, I would create a super-virus to wipe them all out and make God proud!
Sure, critics out there will say if cats are so evil, then why did God created them? Well how about this?
If Satan is so evil, then why did God created him? Think about it.
The point is that things can turn evil and that is what has happened to cats over time. Cats are now tied directly to hell and we would be better off just having them all killed like we would do any other sin soaked vermin."
the point of view of religion cannot be avoided since the animals have been a. crucified b. hung to church doors. so if you think it's absurd to think that someone is killing cats because they consider them to be evil, you will probably agree with the people who think that the person responsible is evil and directing the acts against the church. maybe a victim of clerical abuse? that would explain the notes found saying that those animals didn't suffer as much as the person responsible.

Amazing that some people have so much time to write so much nonsense.

I am very much against this brutality and condemn it outright. I am at a great loss trying to understand how the perpetrator is still at large. I just can't believe that nobody knows much more than we do regarding this case. There must be scores of people who know who's doing such ghastly deeds and yet this horrid 'farce' goes on. Why is all this happening? How is it possible that in such a densly populated town nobody sees or hears anything? Is it the 'work' of an individual or a sect. It's about time authorities do something about it before any unforeseeable escalation. Wake up to your obligations and deliver.

“ The person who crucified a dog in Most is probably a delusional adolescent male suffering from some form of personality disorder and who lives close to the crime scene, two forensic psychologists believe. “
Whatever he is not supposed to be outside on his own, He is dangerous and he have to be in a hospital.
The law should make NO distinction between people with mental problems or normal. You break the law for whatever reason and you should be made to suffer the consciences, same for everyone.

for all we know untill now the person might aswell be a 70 year old with demensia and he is doing this to grab attention so to find help from someone to give him directions to how to go home. I know what i just said is very stupid and i doubt that might be the case, but i also doubt very much that your comment makes any sense at all

Basically somebody crazy is at work here, stirring things up. Animal lovers continue to comment in their numbers whilst stories about humans being attacked and killed seem to gain little interest from animal lovers. I wonder why this shameful fact is?

The simple truth is that animals are defenceless and do not have a voice or vote of their own. Human beings on the other hand are the complete opposite. And also in my personal opinion, an animal displays unconditional love and affection which is more than I can say of the human race.

The usual myopic and unilateral viewpoint which insidiously implies that people love and care more for animals more than humans and never comment expressing horror or concern when humans are murdered or mistreated .Come to think of it you might have a point there regarding the first claim. For the majority of the time and when considering that the bulk of the people are self-centred,intolerant,judgmental and greedy(psychotic in this case) .....what is wrong with receiving endless love and devotion from an animal merely for what or who you are -as opposed to only receiving(!) such from a human for what you can or will do for them. The human race can learn more much the animal kingdom as ,for one thing ,they don't crucify their own!

You are right Mr Wayne Scicluna ... Animals dont have a voice, but they have the law. Really hope the law is strong and the courts remain strong about these murders on animals.
To answer Mr Gerry Cowie " You should do something for the humans being attacked or what ever not just words "
“A wave of animal cruelty cases swept the island ” This person /persons are sick mentally. If some knows who are involved in this they should report to the police to help this innocent animals. Please take Notice and make justice to be done.
