Fourth animal found nailed to cross in Mosta

A second cat has been found crucified and hanging upside down in Mosta, the fourth such incident involving animals since October.

The cat was found nailed to a wooden cross on a door in Baskal Buhagiar Street just before 7 a.m. yesterday.

Another cat was found crucified on January 17. It was left on the gate of a chapel in San Anton Abbati Street.

A priest had found a dead dog nailed to a wooden cross, hanging upside down on Main Street on October 16. A month later, a Chihuahua cross-breed was found crucified in the same manner on the gates of the Sacred Heart oratory.

Next to the carcasses of the dogs was a note in which the perpetrator said the suffering s/he had gone through was worse than that of the dog.

The simple truth is that animals are defenceless and do not have a voice or vote of their own. Human beings on the other hand are the complete opposite. And also in my personal opinion, an animal displays unconditional love and affection which is more than I can say of the human race.

The usual myopic and unilateral viewpoint which insidiously implies that people love and care more for animals more than humans and never comment expressing horror or concern when humans are murdered or mistreated .Come to think of it you might have a point there regarding the first claim. For the majority of the time and when considering that the bulk of the people are self-centred,intolerant,judgmental and greedy(psychotic in this case) .....what is wrong with receiving endless love and devotion from an animal merely for what or who you are -as opposed to only receiving(!) such from a human for what you can or will do for them. The human race can learn more much the animal kingdom as ,for one thing ,they don't crucify their own!

You are right Mr Wayne Scicluna ... Animals dont have a voice, but they have the law. Really hope the law is strong and the courts remain strong about these murders on animals.

To answer Mr Gerry Cowie " You should do something for the humans being attacked or what ever not just words "

“A wave of animal cruelty cases swept the island ” This person /persons are sick mentally. If some knows who are involved in this they should report to the police to help this innocent animals. Please take Notice and make justice to be done.
