DeBONO. On September 26, at Mater Dei Hospital, MELITA, née Minuti, widow of Frankie, aged 84, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Miriam and her husband Joseph, Amadeo and his wife Theresa, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her sister Adelina Caruana, her brother Carmelo Minuti and his wife Ginnie, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Wednesday, September 28 at 1.45pm for Birżebbuġa parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, would be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

Antique furniture sale
An antique furniture and household items sale is being held at St Helen’s parish centre, Birkirkara, (behind the basilica) from tomorrow to next Sunday. Opening hours will be daily between 9am and noon and 5 to 7.30pm. On Sunday the parish centre will only be open in the morning.
