Ortega also said that Jackson did not show any signs of a dependency on drugs. "This Is It," a film based on the rehearsal for the shows, hits theaters Wednesday.
A Swiss court rejected a bid by film director Roman Polanski for release on bail as the risk was too high he would flee pending extradition to the United States for having unlawful sex with a minor in 1977. U.S. authorities have until the end of November to make a firm extradition request.
A Bahamian Supreme Court judge ordered a retrial in the case of two people accused of trying to extort 25 million dollars (USD) from John Travolta over the death his son last January. A judge ordered a mistrial in the case after a local politician prematurely announced that the two accused had been cleared. A new trial date has not been set.
