Company Secretary (Part Time)
Wednesday, October 7, 2009An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated individual to join our clients Legal and Company Secretarial team in Malta.
Working closely with the Legal and Compliance teams and reporting to the Head of the Legal team, this interesting and varied role will suit someone with relevant experience at a reputable law firm in a paralegal or similar capacity. An understanding of financial service and publicly listed companies would also be desirable.
A dynamic role within a small team, you will have the potential to expand your experience and expertise in a wide range of company secretarial, legal and asset management areas. With a high level of interaction with contacts both within and outside Global Group at all seniority levels, you will need to be highly organised, flexible and able to multi-task and balance conflicting demands.
You will work on various ad hoc projects and transactions, including high profile asset acquisitions, sales and restructures, and will be involved, in particular, in assisting with the ongoing transition to the new Companies Act regime; arranging and attending board and shareholder meetings and drafting papers and minutes for the relevant entities; incorporating new companies and establishing new fund vehicles; overseeing company and fund administration and liaising with external administrators across multiple jurisdictions; ensuring statutory records are maintained for all companies.
Who we're looking for
Fully-qualified Lawyer with relevant experience at a reputable law firm in a paralegal or similar capacity. An understanding of financial service and publicly listed companies would also be desirable.
