Chief Financial Officer - Libya

They have recently taken control of an established operation in Libya and are currently undergoing structural changes. As a member of senior management team you will be expected to make a positive contribution to the development of the Bank. The role will be broad-based with considerable scope to develop quickly as the bank grows. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Preparation and management of financial, accounting, taxation and statutory matters;
• Regulatory reporting and liaison with regulators;
• Prime contact point with external auditors;
• Preparation of liquidity and other risk based reports;
• Managing the company's financial position to maximise profitability, cash flow and return on investment.
• Providing business and financial strategy planning, monitoring, management and reporting.
• Development and management of policies, systems, processes and personnel.
• Review and approval of business unit monthly operating reports for corporate and group management.
• Preparation of annual budget.
• Management of accounting, finance, treasury, risk management, performance measurement, budgeting, forecasting, regulatory and tax functions.
• Establishment of goals for individual business units and development of performance measurement metrics

You will be a qualified accountant with a minimum of ten years of work experience in a similar role and having led finance teams through a process of change and business integration.

You will have excellent communication and organisational skills. You will be an energetic, proactive and enthusiastic person with outstanding negotiation and interpersonal skills. In this role you will also need to have a results oriented approach to work.

Fluency in both English and Arabic is essential for this position.
