Material Coordinator

Our client is a leading organisation providing maintenance services for a specialised industry. They are currently expanding their services portfolio and are seeking to employ the services of a Material Coordinator.

Material Coordinator

You will be responsible for assisting with the production schedule and to coordinate the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between sections according to the production schedules or department priorities. You will also be required to compile and maintain the relevant records, such as inventory and in-process production reports.

In this role, you will review production schedules and related information and confer with department supervisors to determine material requirements and to identify and track materials. This will include requisitions of material and establishing sequential delivery dates to departments according to job order priorities and material availability. As material coordinator you will examine materials delivered to production departments to verify conformance to specifications and arrange for in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules.

You will have a strong technical background with previous experience in a similar post. This position calls for a highly organised individual with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, ability to multitask is also important.
