Our client is a leader in banking and financial services, with a significant and growing presence in Europe, the United States and Asia. They have one of the largest international banking networks, a presence in over 85 countries and over 160,000 employees. They have recently taken control of an established operation in Libya and are currently undergoing structural changes. As a result they are seeking committed individuals to form part of their top management team. This position calls for people who are seeking a challenging role and who want to make a difference through their work.

Head of Human Resources

Forming part of the executive committee you will be responsible for coordinating and leading the various components of the restructuring programme. This will include devising and implementing best HR practice as well as strategies in areas of people management, recruitment and staff development with a view to support the development of a customer focused and performance driven culture. You will also be responsible for coordinating and implementing systems, processes and policies taking into account local standards and regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will have previous experience at this level within a complex organisation and be a confident, assertive communicator with a very strong customer focus.

You will also have proven ability to influence top management decisions and provide practical solutions on a variety of people and employment issues. You will have strong business focus and experience of steering through change-management with the energy and enthusiasm to consistently work towards improving and developing the standards of people and performance. Libyan national, with international exposure, fluent in both English and Arabic will be given preference.
