Green heating and cooling at Tigné Point

Solutions and Infrastructure Services (SIS) Ltd will be providing centralised heating and air conditioning services to the Tigné Point development.

Hot and cold water will be produced at a central location and then distributed to residential, retail and commercial customers living and working there. Fan coils inside the offices and apartments then utilise the hot and cold water to heat or cool the surrounding air to a desired temperature setting. No refrigerant gas or electric heating is used with this system, contributing to increased energy efficiency and environmental friendliness.

The system also offers significant cost advantages from lower upfront capital cost to lower overall operating and maintenance cost. It also frees up premium space in the individual building.

Forty per cent of the world's energy is consumed by buildings and 21 per cent of greenhouse gas emissions worldwide come from buildings' energy usage.

SIS is a joint venture between local developer Midi plc and Siemens SpA.
