Once bitten twice shy… not!
‘I once was lost but now am found’ – you’d think Jude’s luggage would sing that… Guess what? You’re right! However, his backpack wanted to join the singing! Yes… Jude forgot his backpack behind at his hosts’ house, thinking he left it at the station. You can imagine the frenzy; rushing back to the station and not finding his blessed backpack; having to catch up with the group at Tumbalong park, and all that jazz.
On another note, [a more musical one] we all went down to Darling Harbour on Thursday and tuned in to Robert Galea’s acoustic gig. We met with our fellow Maltese con-nationals there while we sang our hearts out to Robert’s songs. The atmosphere was just wonderful… and Darling Harbour served as a magical backdrop. J
Friday was quite an eventful day. The group walked to Barangaroo and stayed there for the Stations of the Cross. It was utterly amazing; seeing so many youths praying together despite of cultural and linguistic differences. Being expectedly musically-driven, we decided to stay for the ‘Receive the Power’ concert, and there they were… Hillsong United and Matt Maher; musical acts we really were looking forward to since they are some of our favourites. Maher, in particular, exceeded our expectations… He managed to take the audience to a deeper level while simultaneously involving it in a tangible manner. Couldn’t get any better you’d say eh? Nah! We like to take things a notch higher… Karl, David and Jude were lucky enough to meet Joel Houston of Hillsong United and to actually take pictures with him.
Being a woman, I have lots more to say, however [!], I must stop here and leave you… *bouts of curiosity*
