Air Days

Salt (the band) is officially in Ozzyland...following 23 hours of inflight entertainment, some 8 hours in transit, a one hour drive to get to our hosts and one missing luggage. A very long journey but also a good opportunity for the band and its supporting team to catch up and spend some time together following weeks of anticipation and hard work.

Our stay in Sydney kicked off with mass at Engadine's parish church followed by a bbq prepared by our hosts. This evening we're expecting the much feared jet lag to kick in. But it's 8pm, we feel we've been up for too long and it's dark and rather fresh, so we're hopeful...

Tonight we should get some sleep. The plan for tomorrow is to finalise performance details, prepare the set list and go through the logistics for Wednesday's gig at Tumbalong Park. We'll also be attending the opening mass of the WYD celebrations.

In the meantime we hope and pray that Jude's missing luggage makes it to Sydney safe and sound!

Hi friends!!! Glad you are having a great time in Australia. We really think of you when we watch the TV updates on WYD...we try to spot you somewhere, but haven't managed so far! It must be an awesome experience to be among so many young people. Keeping you in prayer for your gig and outreaches. Take care. Sue, Mario and baby Julia xxx

Wow, SALT seem to be on a great adventure in the land of down under!

Enjoy it guys, may this be a great experience for you all, may it be fruitful for you musically, as well as the crowds that you'll entertain!

Hey Salt! Well you are missing the strike here in Malta but at least you are enjoying the cold there and not the heat we have over here!! Janice & all the bank i wish you luck! Make us Maltese proud because you are the Best!!

Good Luck with your gig Karl & the rest of the band... Sure hope the missing luggage is delivered on time and everything proceeds smoothly from then onwards!

One more thing, whilst you're there, keep the rest of Malta in your prayers: maybe the strike situation we have here is resolved, ok? Maybe a little bit of prayer and some more 'Salt' in some macho's brains would do the trick. ;)

Take care all of you and best of luck!
