Foreign press arrive for Tibet tour
A group of journalists hand picked by China's government arrive in the capital, Lhasa, marking the beginning of a brief organised tour of the troubled region.
The Dalai Lama said that there should be no curbs on foreign media granted access into the Tibetan capital for the first time since violent demonstrations erupted in Lhasa more than two weeks ago. Chinese officials say they have organised the trip in response to international pressure to allow direct access to Tibet. The government, however, has limited the number of journalists allowed on the trip.
