The question of ticket pricing for residents and tourists on Malta’s public transport and Gozo ferry (‘Ticket payment on Gozo ferry’ by Denis Mifsud, April 13) has been raised before.

UK residents have free public transport for those over 65years of age but this concession never applied to tourists and other non-permanent residents (even before Brexit).

What’s wrong with applying the same reasoning and restrictionsin Malta?
