I refer to the report ‘Mariam Al-Batool Muslim school to continue operating’ (April 13).

It was reported that the government subsidises the school to the tune of €300,000 annually and was also given interest-free loans of €200,000 each time, without any guarantees requested.

The report also says that the government and the school authorities have excellent relations. Who would not? If the government gives me subsidies and interest-free loans no questions asked I will not only have excellent relations with it but I will make sure I would not bother it again for the rest of my life.
