The 13th edition of the IOI Regional Ocean Governance Malta Training Course will be held from November 5 to December 8. Admission is limited to 20 participants.

The course consists of four modules dealing with the international ocean legal framework, ocean resource management and ex­ploitation issues, negotiation skills and a policy-simulation exercise.

It includes two seminars on topical issues such as ocean literacy and marine litter, two field visits at the Grand Harbour and Gozo, GIS lab sessions and a training session on marine spatial planning.

The course is organised by the IOI Malta Training Centre at the University of Malta and directed by Prof. Alan Deidun from the Department of Geosciences.
