A goal by Jose' Callejon and two from Lorenzo Insigne ensured visitors Napoli walked out of Lazio's home ground as winners in this evening's Serie A clash.

Maurizio Sarri's men unlocked a relatively pedestrian game after 25 minutes with a fast counter which saw Marek Hamsik curl a low pass across the face of goal, allowing Callejon to tap in and put the Neapolitans ahead.

Napoli worked hard to put the week's lingering memory of having been knocked out of the Coppa Italia by rivals Juventus behind them, and they were rewarded with a second goal on 51 minutes.

Brazilian midfielder Allan scooped the ball into the box and found Insigne, who rolled the falling ball into the net to double Napoli's advantage.

Lazio had a spate of chances midway through the second half, but Keita first and then Patric failed to convert.

In the dying minutes of the match Napoli made it three, with Insigne driving his team forward and finishing off a slick team move by cannoning the ball into the bottom corner from just inside the box.

The win means Napoli now have 67 points, increasing their lead over Simone Inzaghi's Lazio to seven points and maintaining the four-point gap with second-placed Roma.

Lazio remain in fourth with 60 points, with Atalanta just a single point behind them.
