Adventurer, writer and TV presenter Bear Grylls will share his experience of exploring the Christian faith at the next edition of the Alpha course. The introductory session of the course, which is held in countries all over the world, will be held on April 20 at 7.30pm at the Birkirkara Oratory of the Missionary Society of St Paul (MSSP).
Grylls, a former reservist in the SAS who has climbed Evarist, navigated the Northwest Passage and paramotored over the Himalayas, will share his story with the world as part of the Alpha course’s global invitation to explore faith. “Alpha was the best thing I ever did. It helped me answer some huge questions and find a simple empowering faith in my life,” said Grylls.
The Alpha course consists of a series of 10 interactive evening sessions held once weekly to explore the basics of the Christian faith with the option of a weekend session in the middle. Each session includes a meal, a short talk and a discussion in a friendly, open and informal environment. Participants may attend sessions in Maltese or English. Attendance to the evening sessions is free of charge.
