• Gozo Bishop Mario Grech will lead the blessing of palm and olive branches at the Cathedral in Victoria today at 10.15am, followed by Mass. On Maundy Thursday, there will be morning prayers at 8.30am, followed by Mass of Holy Chrism at 9am. Mgr Grech will lead the solemn commemoration of the Last Supper at 7pm. On Good Friday, he will lead the celebration of the Lord’s Passion at 3pm. The Chorus Ecclesiae Cathedralis will take part. On Holy Saturday, he will lead the celebration of the Easter Vigil at 8pm and on Easter Sunday he will concelebrate Mass with the Cathedral Chapter at 6pm.

• A children’s pageant on the Passion of Our Lord, organised by the Xagħra Vocational Group, will leave Xagħra parish church, today at 6pm.

• A Last Supper display is being held at the MUSEUM males section in San Ġorġ Preca Street, Nadur. It will be open today from 9.30 to 11.30am and 3 to 5.30pm, between tomorrow and Wednesday from 6 to 9pm, on Maundy Thursday from 6 to 11pm and on Good Friday 9.30am to 3pm and 7 to 10pm.

• Holy Week services at the chapel of the Poor Clare community, Santa Dminka Street, near Manresa Retreat House, will be held as follows: Today, Palm Sunday, Mass at 9.30am; Maundy Thursday, Mass at 6pm; Good Friday service at 3pm; Easter vigil Mass at 8pm and Easter Sunday Mass at 9.30am.

• Holy Week services in English will be held at the Sacred Heart Seminary, Victoria, as follows: Today, Palm Sunday, Mass at 10am; Maundy Thursday, Mass at 5pm; the Good Friday service at 3pm; Easter Vigil Mass at 8pm; Easter Sunday Mass at 10am. • Holy Week functions at Ta’ Pinu sanctuary will include the solemn celebration of the Last Supper on Maundy Thursday at 6.30pm and the commemoration of the Passion of Christ on Good Friday at 3pm. On Easter Saturday, Bishop Mario Grech will lead a Marian celebration at 9am. An Easter vigil of prayer will start at 8.30pm. Masses on Easter Sunday will be said at 6.15, 8.30, 10, and 11.15am and at 5pm.

• The Strait Ahead band will animate Holy Week functions at the Don Bosco Oratory in Victoria. On Maundy Thursday, Mass is celebrated at 7pm, the Good Friday service starts at 4pm and the Easter night vigil celebration will be held at 8pm.

• The Don Bosco Oratory will organise a Way of the Cross at Għammar Hill, Ta’ Pinu, on Good Friday at 10am. The public is invited.

• The Legion of Mary Ecumenical Committee is organising visits to the Seven Churches for non-Maltese residents of all denominations. The visits will be held on Good Friday, starting from St Augustine Square in Victoria at 9.30am. Transport will be available. The visits will be in English and parti-cipants can follow on a specially-published booklet.

• Fr Guardian Joe Caruana will lead the commemoration of the Last Supper on Maundy Thursday at St Anthony church, Għajnsielem, at 7pm. On Good Friday, Fr Alfred Sciberras will lead the celebration of the Lord’s Passion at 3pm. On Holy Saturday, Fr Caruana will lead the celebration of the Easter Vigil at 8pm and on Easter Sunday he will also celebrate Mass at 11am with the participation of children. After Mass there will be the blessing of figolli.

• Good Friday processions will be held as follows: Qala, today at 6.30pm, St George’s parish, Victoria, on Thursday at 7pm and at the Cathedral, Xagħra, Nadur and Żebbuġ on Friday at 6pm.

• At St George’s basilica, Victoria, a Palm Sunday procession will be held today at 10.30am starting from St James church, followed by a solemn Mass; tomorrow at 7pm a penitential pilgrimage with the statue of the Redeemer starts from St Francis church; on Tuesday, a penitential service, including the first confession for children preparing for their first Holy Communion, presided over by Archpriest Mgr Joseph Curmi will be held at 6.30pm; on Wednesday, a Way of the Cross will be held in St George’s basilica at 7pm; on Thursday, Mass commemorating the Last Supper will be held at 5pm; on Friday, at 3pm, Good Friday liturgy; on Saturday, at 8.30pm, Easter vigil and on Easter Sunday Bishop Mario Grech will concelebrate Mass with the St George’s Chapter at 11am. The Chorus Laudate Pueri will take part.

• A photographic exhibition of Good Friday Traditions in Gozo is being held at the Cittadella Culture Centre in Victoria. It will remain open until Easter Sunday.

• For the first time, the Ghaqda Dilettanti Gimgha l-Kbira Ghawdex, in collaboration with the Gozo College Victoria Primary School, is organising a children’s manifestation related to the Holy Week in Victoria today at 5pm.

• The Holy Week liturgical celebrations at John Paul II Family Institute, Fortunato Mizzi Street, Victoria, will be as follows: Maundy Thursday at 7pm, Good Friday at 4pm, Easter vigil at 8pm and Easter Sunday at 8, 10am and 8pm.
