• Gaulitana’s OPERA+ Weekend continues today with a concert, entitled Silvery Sounds Before Lunch, by flutist Mina Ghobrial and pianist Angela Meluso at the Gozo Ministry hall in Victoria at 11am. Works by Fauré, Tomasi, Gluck, Halaka, Gaubert, Telemann and Ghobrial’s Inspiration a la gare de Lyon will be performed. The Gaulitana Festival will come to an end with Finale – Con Gioia! at St Francis church in Victoria at 7pm.  Ghobrial, violinist Mauro Tortorelli and the Gaulitana String Orchestra, conducted by Colin Attard, will take part.

• Fr Marcello Ghirlando will give Lenten talks at St Anthony church, Għajnsielem, from tomorrow  to Wed-nesday at 7pm. All are welcome. Fr Ghirlando will also celebrate Mass and lead a healing service at St Anthony church on Thursday at 7pm. There will be adoration of the Blessed Sacrament from 6 to 7pm. All are welcome.

• A Via Crucis on Għammar Hill, next to Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary, will take place today at 4pm. Gozo Bishopn Mario Grech will lead the reflections. At the end of the Via Crucis, broadcast live on Radju Marija 102.3 FM, Mgr Grech will give a short  message, followed by Eucharistic Benediction.

• A blood donation session will be held at Gozo General Hospital Out-patients Department today from 8am to 1pm.

• Today, there will be a car boot sale in aid of the Arka Foundation at the main Marsalforn car park. Arka invites everyone to take along any unwanted items, bric-a-brac, etc and turn them into cash. It’s also a great place for buyers to bag a bargain. The sale will be open from 7am. A €10 donation per car space on the day.

• The Oasi Group of Volunteers will be organising a Bake Sale of figolli and other Easter treats at the Duke Shopping Mall in Victoria today, starting from 9am and ending at 7pm.

• The quarter finals of the Yamaha Gozo Motocross Championship  2016/ 2017 will take place at Ta’ Xħajma motocross track today at 1pm.

• Trolls will be screened at Don Bosco Oratory, Victoria, today at 5.30pm.

• The fourth edition of the Sacred Music concert, Ecce Mater Tua, organised by the Santa Cecilia Foundation AD 2013, will take place at Jesus of Nazareth church, Xagħra, on Wednesday at 7pm. The concert, under the direction of Mro Antoine Mercieca, will feature works by Antonio Lotti, Wolf-gang Amadeus Mozart and Gabriel Farrugia.

• Gozitan artist Paolo Camilleri Cauchi will be holding a solo exhibition of sacred art paintings at the Banca Giuratale, Pjazza Indipendenza, Victoria. The exhibition, entitled Passaġġ, will be inaugurated by Gozo Minister Anton Refalo on Thursday at 7. 30pm. The exhibition is on until April 19.

• The feast of Our Lady of Sorrows will be celebrated at St James church in Victoria on Friday. Masses will be held every half an hour between 6am and 1pm. Bishop Mario Grech will celebrate Mass at Independence Square at 6pm, followed by a penitential pilgrimage with the statue of Our Lady.

• The Friends of the Sick and Elderly (Gozo) will be organising a charity sale at the Victoria football ground (next to the car park) next Sunday from 7.30am to 1pm. Admission fee is €10 per car space on the day. • The Għaqda Drammatika Għajn-sielem will be presenting Il-Passjoni: Il-Bieraħ u L-Lum at Fort Chambray on Saturday at 6pm with a repeat performance in English at 9pm. Script-writer JoAnne Debrincat will be directing a cast of around 40 actors, while Franco Ciangura is responsible for the artistic direction. Entrance is free.

• The group is also holding a reenactment of The Lord’s Supper at Ta’ Passi fields on Maundy Thursday from 8.30pm until 11.30pm and on Good Friday from 9am until noon. There will also be live cooking where traditional Passover food will be prepared.

• Legio X Fretensis Malta will reenact Roman military and civilian life in the 1st and 2nd Century AD at Fort Chambray on Saturday from 10am. Entrance is free.
