The Msida pedestrian traffic lights, opposite the marina, must be one of the busiest in Malta, especially in the morning and evening rush hours. They are constantly in use due to the heavy volume of people crossing from the Valletta bound bus stop to the other side of the road and residents from the Msida church area heading towards the Junior College side and vice versa.

For that reason, traffic approaching Msida from Valletta slows down considerably. I suggest Malta Transport changes the manual crossing to an ‘automatic interval crossing’ system. The lights will thus not switch to red too frequently and the clogging up of the rush hour traffic would be avoided.
