The second film showing as part of the women-themed film week at the China Cultural Centre is My Running Shadow.

The film tells the story of  Xiuzhi, a mathematics wizard with Asperger’s syndrome who meets his father for the first time at the age of 17, when he returns from the US.

His father intends to take him to the US to further his studies but when Xiuzhi is about to leave, he feels torn between worlds, as he realises just how much his mother means to him. ​
