PACE. On March 25, EDWARD of Attard, residing in St Paul’s Bay, aged 87, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church and surrounded by his family. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Doris, née Gatt, his children Henriette, Patricia and her husband Andre Catania, and Neville and his wife Myra Gauci Borda, his beloved grandsons Richard and his wife Sabrina, Julian, Gabriel and Raphael, his brother Guido and his wife Evelyn, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. PORTELLI. On March 27, FRANS of Valletta, residing at St Venera, aged 85, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Mary Rose, his sons Antoine and Marion, Pierre and Diane, Jean Karl and Maria, and his grandchildren Nicole, Katrina, Hannah, Zac, Andrew and Mattea. He will also be missed by his sister Polly, relatives and friends. The funeral cortège departs from St Vincent de Paul residence tomorrow, Tuesday, March 28 at 1.15pm for St Paul Shipwrecked collegiate church, Valletta, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, or Radju Maria, Rabat, will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
WOODS. On March 26, at Mater Dei Hospital, Sister TERESA (Carmela), of the Sisters of Charity, aged 89, passed away peacefully to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss the congregation of the Sisters of Charity, nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today, Monday, March 27, at 8.30am for the sisters’ convent at 55, Birbal Street, Balzan, where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 9am followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord grant her eternal rest.
