Heritage Malta is spending €31,000 in connection with the temporary exhibition in Malta of Grand Master de Valette's ceremonial dagger.

Information given by Culture Minister Owen Bonnici in parliament shows that €20,000 were spent on the purchase of materials for the exhibition.

€7,000 were allocated for the transportation of the dagger, and its return to Paris.

The other spending is for trips to Paris by three Heritage Malta officials and a Louvre curator who came to Malta.

The dagger will be taken back to Paris in July.

The minister was replying to a parliamentary question by Nationalist MP Antoine Borg.
