• To mark Freedom Day, the Police Band, under the direction of Superintendent Mro Anthony Cassar, will give a concert at Independence Square, Victoria, today at 7.30pm

• The picturesque Lunzjata Valley on the outskirts of Victoria and Kerċem will be the venue for a family-oriented event, organised by the Education, Science and Culture Centre, in collaboration with the Unesco office in Malta, the Gozo Ministry and the Gozo College, today from 3pm to 5pm. The event will include a live Passion tableaux presented by children, stands promoting Lenten and Easter traditions, local traditional seasonal food and music for Holy Week.

• The Friends of the Sick and Elderly (Gozo) are organising a charity sale at the Victoria football ground (next to the car park) today from 7.30am to 1pm. Ten euros per car space on the day.

• The Way of the Cross will be held from Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary to Għammar Hill today at 3.30pm.

• Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children will be screened at Don Bosco Oratory, Victoria, today at 5.30pm.

• The Xagħra Catholic Action Dramatic Group will present a Passion play, L-Innocenti, at the Xewkija parish centre today at 7pm.

• A Bible study meeting will be held at St Anthony church, Għajnsielem, tomorrow at 7.30pm. All are welcome.

• A blood donation session will be held at Gozo General Hospital Outpatients Department on Tuesday from 1pm to 5pm.

• The Outpatients Department, in conjunction with the Health Promotion Unit of the Gozo General Hospital, will be organising a colon cancer awareness seminar at Kozmo, Victoria, on Tuesday at 6pm. • MUSEUM superior Joe Fenech will lead a prayer and catechesis meeting at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, Victoria, on Thursday from 10 to 11am. All are welcome.

• Justice and the Muses – A Maltese Perspective is the title of a public talk organised by Philosophy Sharing Gozo. It will be delivered by Mr Justice Silvio Meli at the Circolo Gozitano, 6 Sir Adrian Dingli Street, Victoria, on Friday at 7.30pm. Entrance is free.

• Members of Il-Fergħa Ewkaristika (Gozo) will meet at Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary to celebrate Mass and for adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on Saturday at 3pm. All are welcome.

• Fr Marcello Ghirlando will give Lenten talks at St Anthony church, Għajnsielem, from April 3 to April 5 at 7pm. All are welcome. Fr Ghirlando will also celebrate Mass and lead a healing service at St Anthony church on April 6 at 7pm. There will be adoration of the Blessed Sacrament from 6 to 7pm. All are welcome.

• The Oasi Group of Volunteers will be organising a Bake Sale of figolli and other Easter treats at the Duke Shopping Mall between Friday and next Sunday, from 9am to 7pm. Any donation of baked goods and confectionery, whether home-made or store-bought, is greatly appreciated. It is important that all items are non-alcoholic.
