Fined: Manchester City have been fined €18,000 by UEFA for three offences during their Champions League clash with Monaco at the Etihad Stadium last month. City have been found guilty of charges relating to a pitch invasion, the throwing of objects and a delayed kick-off during the last-16 first leg on February 21.

Gibson: England manager Gareth Southgate has called up uncapped Middlesbrough defender Ben Gibson for Sunday’s World Cup qualifier against Lithuania at Wembley, the English FA said on Friday. Gibson replaces the injured Chris Smalling, who played in England’s 1-0 defeat by Germany in a friendly in Dortmund on Wednesday.

Meunier: Defender Thomas Meunier has become the second Belgium player to pull out of today’s World Cup qualifier against Greece and midfielder Kevin de Bruyne is doubtful for the Group H match in Brussels. An ankle injury has ruled out PSG’s Meunier while De Bruyne is struggling with a hamstring problem.

Pitch invasion: Barcelona have been fined over the ecstatic celebrations at the end of their incredible Champions League comeback victory over Paris St Germain earlier this month. UEFA’s control, ethics and disciplinary body imposed a fine of €19,000 for the pitch invasion that followed Sergi Roberto’s 95th-minute goal, which secured a 6-1 victory on the night.
