DEBATTISTA. On Wednesday, March 22, at Mater Dei Hospital, Dr JUANITA DEBATTISTA, née Formosa, passed away peacefully at the age of 37, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved husband Ray, her beloved daughters Mattea, Kristina and Louisa, her mother Maria, widow of Edwin, her sister Mareska, her parents-in-law Louis and Iris, her in-laws Nelson, Eileen, Lynette and their families, other relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be said on Saturday, March 25 at 9.30am at St Dominic’s church, Rabat, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. GRIMA. On March 21, at Mater Dei Hospital, GEORGE (Is-Sensar), of Qormi, aged 66, passed away peacefully after a short illness borne with Christian fortitude, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Saveria, née Caruana, his children Joann and her husband Conrod and Paul and his wife Helen, his grandchildren Jean-Claude, Maria and Sergio, his sisters, relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be said today, Thursday, March 23 at 2.30pm at St George’s parish church, Qormi, followed by interment in the family grave at Qrendi cemetery. MOMPALAO. On March 19, at Gozo General Hospital, JOHN of Victoria, Gozo, aged 66, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Margaret, his son Dr Kevin Mompalao and his wife Marcelline, his grandchildren Maria, Gianni and Francesco, his brothers and sisters, his brother and sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Gozo General Hospital on Saturday, March 25 at 4pm for Gozo Cathedral where Mass will be celebrated at 4.30pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Marija Cemetery, Victoria. MUSCAT. On March 16, at Ospedale San Raffaele, Milan, JOYCE, aged 74, went to meet the Risen Lord. Always loved and remembered by her husband Richard, her sons Massimo, Mariano and his wife Nadia and Marco and his wife Aida, her mother, her brothers and sisters and their respective families, nephews and nieces and in-laws, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Friday, March 24 at 1.30pm for St Helen’s Basilica, Birkirkara, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. May the Lord grant her eternal rest and perpetual light shine upon her.
