INSARDÀ. On March 19, FABIO, aged 68, of Attard passed away peacefully after a short illness borne with Christian fortitude at Mater Dei Hospital comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his irreparable loss his most beloved wife Marie née Costigan, his siblings Nicola and his wife Maria, Melina and her husband Alfredo Cavallaro, Catarina widow of Pino Santoro, Elizabetta and Beppe residing in Italy, his in-laws Carmen and her husband Anthony Tabone and Anna, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends in Malta, Italy and Greece. The funeral will be held tomorrow Thursday March 23, at Our Lady of the Assumption parish church, Attard where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta or Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi will be greatly appreciated. May the Lord grant him eternal rest.
MICALLEF. On March 17, at St Elizabeth Residential Home, Rabat, CARMEL k/a Charles, aged 78, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Mary Rose née Spiteri, his children Simon and his wife Sharon, Kenneth and his wife Richies, his grandchildren Tamara and Raquel, his brother Joseph and wife Frances, together with his brothers and sister-in-law, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortege leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Thursday March 23, at 1.30pm for Tal-Ibraġ parish church, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 2pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request, but donations to the Monastery of the Poor Clares, St Julian’s will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest for a life of devotion and dedication to his family.
MOMPALAO. On March 19, at Gozo General Hospital, JOHN of Victoria, Gozo, aged 66, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Margaret, his son Dr Kevin Mompalao and his wife Marcelline, his grandchildren Maria, Gianni and Francesco, his brothers and sisters, his brother and sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Gozo General Hospital on Saturday, March 25 at 4pm for Gozo Cathedral where Mass will be celebrated at 4.30pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Marija Cemetery, Victoria. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
MUSCAT. On March 16, at Ospedale San Raffaele, Milan, JOYCE, aged 74, went to meet the Risen Lord. Always loved and remembered by her husband Richard, her sons Massimo, Mariano and his wife Nadia and Marco and his wife Aida, her mother, her brothers and sisters and their respective families, nephews and nieces and in-laws, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Friday, March 24 at 1.30pm for St Helen’s Basilica, Birkirkara, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. May the Lord grant her eternal rest and perpetual light shine upon her.
