Updated: 4.30pm with video

A warden was slightly injured when he was assaulted while on duty at a roundabout this morning.

The incident happened at about 11am at a roundabout between Naxxar and Tal-Balal when a man was seen walking up to the warden, before engaging in an argument and then assaulting him.

The reasons for the assault, which was later released on video, are not yet known. The warden was treated at a health centre.

The aggressor, a Serbian national, was arrested.
