Duo Luca and Alessandra – together known as Schonwald – will be bringing their trademark dark melodies with melancholic keyboard and guitar sounds live on stage in Malta on April 1 at The Shelter, Tigullio, St Julian’s.
Known for using hypnotic drum machines paired with dreamy vocals and the right amount of psychedelic distorted guitar, the duo keep audiences enthralled with an ethereal sound, keeping everyone glued to the dance floor with a mixture of dreampop and shoegaze.
Also on the lineup for the night is DaDa, made up of Manchurian artist Dakshunt and Danjeli, with their mix of mad hiphop tunes with mono synth melodies and live drums.
LVX will be taking the stage for a live/mash up performance involving experimentation with analogue electronica, where he will be joined by Anthony Micallef on guitar duties. Part of the set will be a live mashup spanning all manner of darkwave. Hearts Beating in Time, a musical project stemming from a DIY ethos and featuring dream-pop synth sounds will also be performing.
Spinning the decks on the night with DJ duties are Videodrom and Sunta; visual projections are by Dark Wave Malta.
Tickets are available online and at the door.
