Police are searching for a man who broke into a hardware store in Birkirkara early this morning.

CCTV footage showed the bearded man smashing the store window of AAK Brothers in Mannarino Road around 3.10am before winching open the door.

He is later seen rummaging through the store items before walking out with two large items. The amount of the haul is not yet known. 

Anybody who can identify the burglar is asked to contact the Birkirkara police.
