The Sunday Times of Malta says the government has for the first time confirmed that Air Malta needs to cut jobs, a matter it says will be looked into once a strategic partner for the airline has been found.

The Malta Independent says that PN deputy leader Mario de Marco and MP Francis Zammit Dimech have both complied with the request to renounce their Seabank briefs ‘entirely and altogether’.

Malta Today leads with a survey which found that a year before the election Labour is leading by four points with Prime Minister Joseph Muscat retaining a seven-point trust lead.

Illum says Alfred Grixti, the executive head of the Social Welfare Foundation, has implied interference in the issue of care orders in Gozo.

Kullħadd says PN deputy leader Beppe Fenech Adami has applied to sanction illegalities at his residence.

It-Torċa says legal experts had confirmed that the payment of PN party officials by businessmen was no loophole but a  breach of party financing legislation.
