• The Gozo event of the Vintage Motors Festival, organised by the Federazzjoni Maltija Vetturi Antiki, is being held today at 10am. It starts from the Marsalforn car park with a half-way halt at Dwejra upper car park and finish at the Mġarr Yacht Marina. Static shows of classic and vintage machines dating from the 1920s to the late 1970s will be held at all the above mentioned places and at Qala, Xagħra and Għajnsielem.

• The feast of St Gregory the Great will be celebrated in Kerċem today. Gozo Bishop Mario Grech leads a Pontifical Mass at 9am. A procession with the saint’s statue, led by Mgr Frangisk Sultana, will leave the church at 5pm with the participation of the St Gregory band of Kerċem.

• The Friends of the Sick and Elderly (Gozo) are organising a charity sale at the Victoria football ground (next to the car park) today from 7.30am to 1pm. Admission fee is €10 per space, which will be paid on the day.

• Kolbe, the new rock opera about the hero of Auschwitz Concentration Camp, is being repeated at the Don Bosco Oratory Theatre Victoria, today at 2.30pm. A last performance will be held on Saturday at 7.30pm. Ticket hotlines: 2155 6616 or 9948 7751. Tickets may also be purchased from the ticket office before the performances.

• The Lent retreat for members of the Padre Pio Prayer Groups and other devotees of the saint will be held today at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Graces in Victoria. Fr Remigio Galea OFM Cap will celebrate Mass at 9am.  After a short coffee break, Fr Guardian Joe Buttigieg  will deliver a talk on St Pio’s virtues and ends the retreat with the recitation of Padre Pio’s thoughts on the Via Crucis. All members and devotees are invited to attend.

• Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them will be screened at Don Bosco Oratory, Victoria, today at 5.30pm.

• A blood donation session will be held at Gozo General Hospital Outpatients Department on Tuesday from 1pm to 5pm.

• The fourth edition of the Sacred Music concert, Ecce Mater Tua, organised by the Santa Cecilia Foundation AD 2013, will take place at St James church, Independence Square, Victoria, on Saturday at 7pm. The concert, under the direction of Mro Antoine Mercieca, will feature works by Antonio Lotti, Wolf-gang Amadeus Mozart and Gabriel Farrugia.

• The Victoria Scout Group is organising a Fun Walk in aid of Puttinu Cares next Sunday. The 2.5km walk will start from St Augustine Square in Victoria at 10am and proceed along Għajn Qatet Street, Mġarr Road, Republic Street and come to an end at Independence Square. Minimum donations: children  €3, adults €5.
