Trade Malta, the public private partnership between the government and the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry, is investing over €900,000 of EU funds to develop a knowledge platform for SMEs to use when planning their export and internationalisation.

Last week, Trade Malta published three tenders which will see it putting in place the first building blocks of this knowledge depot for SME.

The first tender relates to a directory of Maltese exporters and three survey projects, including a tracer study and a customer satisfaction survey.

A second tender will see Trade Malta procure the production of several short videos about local exporters. The third and final tender seeks to procure market intelligence reports covering several industry sectors and geographical markets.

The agency is inviting suitably qualified service providers to submit their offers according to the tender specifications, which are available from www.etenders.gov.mt.

The internationalisation knowledge platform is an important milestone for Trade Malta.

The agency feels that there is a demand for knowledge services for exporters and it is committed to live up to its promise of being the first port of call for SMEs interested in exporting and internationalising their products and services.

The internationalisation knowledge platform is co-financed under Operational Programme I – ‘Fostering a competitive and sustainable economy to meet our challenges’, the European Regional Development Fund 2014-2020.
