The 11th edition of Gaulitana: A Festival of Music continues today with a talk entitled The Operatic Singer.

This is the first talk in the TALK re u series which is an innovative feature of this year’s edition of the festival. The series will present talks in preparation for upcoming evening concerts. On this occasion, the talk delivered by Malta-based Bulgarian soprano Andriana Yordanova will link up with tomorrow’s vocal recital by the winners of the Concorso Lirico G. Rubini.

Yordanova is an established soprano and voice teacher. She holds a Masters in opera singing and vocal pedagogy and a PhD in music, both from the National Music Academy Prof. Pancho Vladigerov in Sofia, Bulgaria. She is currently teaching voice technique at the Johann Strauss School of Music and at the Atelier Lyrique in Malta.

■ The talk is being held today at 7.30pm at the Gozo Ministry Hall in Victoria. Entrance is free.
