A toy store in Rabat has experienced its second armed robbery in two weeks.

A man wearing a hoodie and sunglasses and armed with a knife walked into The Early Learning Centre on St Paul's Street at around 12.55pm and demanded money from the 23-year-old shop assistant.

He made away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Magistrate Marse-Ann Farrugia has ordered an inquiry into the hold-up.

A thief robbed the same store on February 23, giving a pregnant shop assistant the fright of her life.  A lotto booth on the same street in Rabat was also robbed by an armed assailant last month.

In a similar theft just last week, a toy store in Sliema was also robbed by a man with a similar description.
