A woman was hospitalised and a man was arrested following an argument between them in a St Paul's Bay apartment last night.

The police said they were alerted about the case at midnight in Triq Mozzolla.

The argument involved a 25-year-old woman resident in St Paul's Bay and a 27-year-old man from Floriana.

The woman was found to be seriously injured and was hospitalised.  The man fled the scene but was later arrested.

Investigations are continuing.
