The following are the top stories in Malta's newspapers today.

The Sunday Times of Malta says army top brass are getting a 25% increase to their pay.

It also reports that grieving parents do not want a change of the law regarding road death punishments.

The Malta Independent on Sunday says a proposal for state-funded transgender surgical and hormone treatments is to be presented to the Cabinet. It also reports on plans for an industrial park in Bidnija.

MaltaToday reports that Mario de Marco negotiated the Seabank deal with the government. The PN deputy leader has now renounced his legal brief after the 60m euro concession.

The newspaper also reports that Labour advisor Robert Musumeci is tops in 'winning' ODZ permits.

It-Torċa says there in uncertainty in Europe after the five options for the EU's future presented by commission president Juncker on Thursday. It also reports that synthetic drugs are to be banned.

Il-Mument says Police Commissioner Lawrence Cutajar faces an uncertain future and there are moves in favour of Angelo Gafa' taking over.

It also quotes Beppe Fenech Adami saying the inquiry on Capital One had cleared him of any interference in police work.
