A 31-year-old man sustained grievous injuries after his motorbike collided with a car in Mosta this afternoon. 

The victim, a Romanian national who resides in Mosta, crashed in Constitution Street at 3.15pm.

Police said his motorbike crashed into a Mercedes A180 driven by a 54-year-old woman from St Paul's Bay. 

The motorcyclist was rushed to hospital in an ambulance. 

Police are investigating.
